Kenneth Sheldon is Executive Director of Audience Development at New York Media – parent company of New York Magazine, NYMag.com and Vulture.com.  Ken has 18 years of consumer marketing experience at major magazine publishers including New York Magazine and Time Inc.  His experience encompasses all the traditional marketing channels for subscription and newsstand sales as well as partnership, business development, digital audience development, social media, email and event marketing.  Ken has led New York Magazine to record subscription, newsstand and profitability growth, and prior experience includes managing a $60 million P&L and 4 million subscriber base at Time Magazine.  Beyond circulation responsibilities he is currently leading the growth of key web audiences for NYMag.com and Vulture.com.  Ken oversees social media for New York Media and in the past year New York Media’s social following has more than doubled to over 5 million.  The management of New York Media’s newsletters and digital analytics responsibilities also fall within Ken’s department.  Ken is an Adjunct Professor at NYU and the chairperson of the MPA Consumer Marketing Committee.
